Heather is a local cum laude graduate of Marion Technical College with an Applied Science Degree in Nursing. Heather has attended courses from Columbus State to become board approved instructor for nurse aide training and completed her Instructor training from the American Heart Association. Heather is currently attending Ashland University in pursuance of her Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner.
Heather joins Day One Integrated Services as the Director of Nursing with over 16 years of nursing experience in numerous healthcare settings with her specialty being clinical leadership management. Heather most recently changed her specialty focus and found her passion for alcohol drug treatment as an Opiate withdrawal management nurse. She felt as though this was a career path that needed more experienced medical professionals with leadership backgrounds to join in the pursuance of finding a solution to our drug epidemic. Prior to this she’s served 8 years as the Director of Operations and Clinical services for home care, obtained her Clinical Oasis Specialist-Certificate and served as a board member for the Ohio Council for homecare & hospice.
